I doubt that is the case in ALL middle class families with children. That's like labor generalising carbon tax increase of around 10% on electricity prices - ours are up 50% since CT was introduced.
However, even IF the statement you posted is true for some (and it probably includes the old age pension for these people) - they haven't cost taxpayers a cent. Unlike real welfare junkies.
Without their substantial taxes over the years, their old age pensions would come out of someone else's pay packet.
