why would shorters buy up aussie stock to cover american stock?
I don't believe you can transfer stock between the two or else there would constantly be different amounts of stock quoted for each (as people would be trading) and valuations would be increasingly difficult (set stock amounts mean set MC for a set price, if you unfix the stock amount it unhinges that process).
