I do not believe stop losses do anything in the long run.

Here is the reason...say you are long at 0.580 and have a stop loss at 0.56.

If you adhere to your stop loss, you are really saying OK I believe the stock will go down, so in reality you are shorting at 0.56 - which itself is a fresh new trade if you know what I mean.

And that fresh new trade has carries a risk itself.

If you are trying to limit risk (so called money management), might as well not go long at 0.58 in the first place.
