"Project and Corporate Update
Mr Ping Zhao, Executive Director of Oroya Mining Ltd has returned from an extended trip to
China where he briefed investment groups on Oroya’s projects.
He found keen interest in mining projects held by Oroya and suggestions for future directions.
He assured shareholders that he saw a strong future of Oroya.
He said, “we have now received all assay results from the recent drill holes into EM targets
and, although the results to date are not economic, they have shown that HeliTEM targets
must be selected in conjunction with geochemical surveys. The previous drilling was
successful because it was based on copper anomalies that we now know are located on EM
anomalies. Our geologists have pointed out several strong copper and HeliTEM anomalies to
be tested in future programs. Massive copper sulphides are reported from several old mines
and these will be followed up in the next few weeks.”
On the subject of future directions and attracting capital investment in Oroya, Mr Zhao said,
“my talks in China clearly identified what projects would attract substantial investment in
Oroya. Two prospective investors expressed interest in investing in the Company and we are
evaluating new projects that meet their criteria.”
