I actually mentioned that before that people make the mistake too often averaging down. In a lot of cases it is fraught with danger and you can do a lot of money. Averaging up makes more sense but most people tend to average down. It is for all of the reasons i have previously stated.
Of course it can depend on how long you are in the market, but taking advantage of an uptrend can be very rewarding.
The telstra chart is a very good example of what i was trying to explain where you can take advantage of both trends.
