Dot,
Four matches about 18 months ago. - white heart Lane, Old Trafford & Wigan
Firstly, absolutely loved the PL and can't wait to go back. Overall, a great experience.
Best behaved crowd in my experience, was White Heart Lane.
Saw Totenham play home and away. Had no idea about any of the clubs. Let's just say I am now well aware of the Jewish links to Totenham. I had no idea.
Worst crowd experience was Old Trafford. LOVED the atmosphere, had awesome seats but the area i was in had a group of IDIOTS surrounding me. This is where i felt for the old people because of their language & lack of respect. This group yelled racial abuse at a black player. I felt a real hatred in the air at this game.
Wigan was a good experience, but was reminded of Totenham's jewish links.
Overall, a tremendous experience and i know why they love football over there. But, i wouldn't say they are immune to racial slurs from the crowd. Not saying it was widespread, but i saw it first hand.
