SS - on a straight $ amount, after 4 tries with stop losses set at 3C your loss would be 17% of the initial stake, plus transaction costs * 8
One would now have sold at 50C, and be waiting for 40c to buy back in, based on the 20% reduction before buying back in.
Result would be far lower risk to capital, as the most you could ever loose would be your initial stake. E.G. you are not risking 18 times your initial stake.
I suspect that most would not have this discipline, and would have given up after the first 2 stops. IMO
