I have already an answer for what I intend to do. You see, I’m in a situation which enables me to either choose to be in the resident or non-resident category. Handling of this complicated CGT is in itself a cost & adding this to the tax itself, I see neither any at all nor much significant advantage over being of a non-resident. I think I shouldn’t lose out much, if at all any, with the 10% flat CGT besides being hassle free.
