I think Eddy slipped up and knows it, he at least had the courage of conviction to apologise.

The question now is how to prevent another unsavoury occurance of similar comments?

I believe the Collingwood FC should consult their members on core values and put them into a club endorsed code of conduct, so that all clubmen know what is expected and everyone can to the best of their ability attempt to live up to club expections through a code.

It is something I will pursue with my club the Hawthorn FC to explore also, eventhough many of their people and players have taught me many values and principles over the years!

I continue to be a very proud member of that club.
