How many times have you heard words like 'you big ape'. I'm white no beard and have been called a big ape. (used to do boxing). Taken by me, as a compliment. If Goodes takes it as a insult that's his fault, needs to raise his own self esteem. He has many reasons to do this, unlike some. (BTW, I came from Italy in 1950 as a two year old, and got more than my share of wog, ding etc). Get on with it and stop being precious.

What is the original reason for sport? To toughen you up for when you have to go and earn your food. Toughen, both physically and mentally. So when you get tired or hurt you don't give up the chase. Goodes (and many other players)are physically tough, and I believe they are mentally tough as well. I believe they are just milking this 'race' discrimination for all its worth.

Also, before you sling off at me for being racist, I have QUARTER BLACK grand-kids and nephew and neices as well. (which are great kids and love them dearly). It's up to the parents to give their kids the necessary self esteem, whether you're black, white or in between, and to educate their children that if people look down on them for any reason, it's not their problem but a problem for the other person.
