ronsterm Jesus claimed to be God and Man. It is a difficult concept like that of The Father Son and Holy spirit but analogy such a space comprising of three dimensions without any component we dont have the complete package or H2O it can be fluid, solid ice, or vapour but just different states of what we call water.

God had humbled himself to become man so as to enter this world and have to live through temptation, pain, and ultimately death. Yes he could have stopped the process but he would have failed to complete the will of his father.
At the point of death Jesus the man has lost his life and link to this Father hence 'my father why hast thou forsaken me'. Jesus unlike any of us gave up more than any mortal man could at that point in time.

When you face your judgement could you argue Hey God how can you condemn my soul your great power could not comprehend or appreciate my life as a human, why didnt you come and walk a mile in my shoes before you judge me. Jesus just did.

Ultimately Christianity provides justice this is unique to any other philosphy or religion. Evil will be eliminated but God is just he is fair. He humbled himself to become man and paid an excruciating price on the cross. The unique gift of salvation is free so that no human can claim that he earnt such a reward.

As for the Jesus story, treat the Gospels as historical text for that is their literary style. It shouldnt take you too long to read they are only a couple of hundred pages long (Matthew Mark Luke John).

Think carefully how the disciples reacted to Jesus imprisonment how did they respond when they meet him. Who did he first appear to. What happened to the disciples after Jesus returned to heaven. Now think about how you would craft a story that you wanted to perpetuate that you knew was false. Would you have written the Gospels in the manner which we have them in the Bible. This last paragraph I wont comment on but that is your doorway Rosterm, reading 4 chapters wont take you long but the rest may take you far longer.

Its there for all to knock on the door.

    Regards RM
