    Hi RM

    Thanks for the reply.

    ...........................

" It is a difficult concept like that of The Father Son and Holy spirit but analogy such a space comprising of three dimensions without any component we dont have the complete package or H2O it can be fluid, solid ice, or vapour but just different states of what we call water."

    ...........................

Good explanation, the best I have read of the trinitarian concept. You may have just explained the inexplicable!!
Added to that though he is also called the son of god(though all humans are called the children, therefore sons and daughters of god) as well as the son of man, all just to totally confuse the issue lol.

    ...........................

"God had humbled himself to become man so as to enter this world and have to live through temptation, pain, and ultimately death. Yes he could have stopped the process but he would have failed to complete the will of his father."

    ...........................

What was the point? If god became man then unless he didn't know he was god, then he isn't man, merely the outward form of man. If he didn't know he was god then he couldn't have stated he was god unless delusional or lying. Therefore he was god masquerading as man though not actually man.
A god should be able to resist temptation, suffer etc, as that is child's play for gods(but not for man who has all the limitations of man). Not being flippant here, just looking at the logic of it all.

    ..........................

"At the point of death Jesus the man has lost his life and link to this Father hence 'my father why hast thou forsaken me'. Jesus unlike any of us gave up more than any mortal man could at that point in time."

    ...........................

That doesn't at all make sense to me if Jesus were god unless it was a soliloquy, which would then be,"Oh Me,why have I foresaken myself?"that doesn't make sense either so
what to do? It clearly seems to me he was mortal,he may have thought himself to have a divine connection and at that point he lost it and the "forsaken" comment was an "oh,I am in the shit" moment.

I don't see why jesus gave up more than anyone else, in fact he didn't give up anything. If he is immortal, which is assumed by christians then he didn't die. Everything done to him was done with his consent(and if you believe he was god then it had to be that way, no illusions of "freewill" involved)in fact he told Judas to get the ball rolling ie. go and do what you must do and do it now etc.

    .......................
"When you face your judgement could you argue Hey God how can you condemn my soul your great power could not comprehend or appreciate my life as a human, why didnt you come and walk a mile in my shoes before you judge me. Jesus just did."

    .........................

God being omnipotent and omniscient would know everything anyhow, including what everyone will do and think and feel in every instant of their lives. I doubt very much the concept of freewill, at least as normally presented. We are exactly as we must be, no choice involved.

All that said, I am no strict materialist(in the philosophical not acquisitive sense, )and so believe that there is way more to life than what we can see and touch.

I will put reading the gospels on my to-do list and see how that goes though whether or not it resonates with me is in the lap of the gods lol

    cheers
