Hi Backup.
Thanks for your post. It raises some great points about the cost estimation and I appreciate your research.
From the latest report (and on several other recent occasions):
"Although the PFS has not yet been released, Consolidated Tin estimates operating costs of ~US$12,000/t "
I am curious how/why CSD continuously state that their costs are estimated to be $12,000/t.
They do state that the Gillian deposit is a "near surface JORC resource", which could mean that it is not an open pit structure, but maybe a front-end loader type of resource???
I would also assume that this cost estimation includes the by-products, including the fluorine from the Pinnacles, but I guess like all of us, we just need and to wait and see how this is calculated in the upcoming PFS.
Until then, I would like to keep it as planned. One thing CSD do mention on their home page (under history) is the following.
"The Company decided tin production scale should be at a level that would see the company considered a ‘significant producer’ that would attract tin buyer/smelter interest and competition and bring better tin price returns."
It will be interesting times ahead.
;-)
Cheers again.
