Aboriginals are killing themselves with grog, violence and overll poor health choices ie wrong food, poor hygeine etc.
I don't know what the answer is anymore.
I used to think that equal rights was the go, and they would improve over time.
Then I thought the intervention and nanny state approach would solve the issues.
Now I just don't know.
I feel so sorry for the children who are born into these remote communities. They have virtually no chance. None.
The only thing I can think of now is for the government to withdraw all support and services to these remote communities and concentrate instead on the established larger towns.
Those that choose to stay in these remote areas and communities would then have to revert back to their full traditional ways.
Those that choose to integrate into our society, could then do so.
I suppose that I will be accused of being a racist now for suggesting this.
