I note that your source is Baotou.

With Chinese suppliers there is no shortage of theory but when the chips are down, their products are generally inferior to their Western equivalents.

They usually lack quality assurance (QA) and conformity of production (COP)
certification.


For example Boatau owns and produces a range of HD trucks called BieBen.
While their designs imitate Mercedes Benz, their execution does not because
they do not conform to EC or USA DOT or Japanese JIS standards and, consequently, these trucks cannot be marketed in these western markets.

Importers of Chinese goods to Australia experience production inconsistencies
in quality which are usually compensated for by price discounting & not better
consistant product quality.

While I have no direct experience of Baotau's REE quality and consistency, I would be very surprised if they differed greatly in this business area from that of their
BieBen truck products.
