Thanks, leased. Yes, I fasted before he took the b/tests. So you say, 8% isn't good but it isn't dreadful either. Family doesn't have a history of diabetes, going back to my great grandparents.
I still don't know whether to start on the pills now or later, if situation worsens. I've got a hunch I won't have a choice, come Monday. :(
