But being fairdinkum, not trying to push my "white values" on the indigenous, but in my white experience, your parents & grandparents are responsible for developing a family culture. A couple of my best friends are teachers and of course the discussion of bad students often comes up. Whenever this discussion is brought up, they say to me that generally (not always) good parents = good student, bad student = bad parents.
