gyro, if Holden depended on water to run their assembly plant and there was no water then it is obvious that nobody could produce anything irrespective of how experienced the may be, surely even you could figure that out. It was a stupid analogy to make, but is probably indicative of your understanding of the effects of drought. Maybe you should go and talk to farmers who have had their water allocation cut and see what effect it has had on their production, talk to the rice growers and find out how much rice they can grow with no water. Go and have a look at the previously productive farms who have been sold and stripped of their water allocation and see how they have now reverted to their original unproductive state. That is not in Zimbabwe but here, you barely have to go out of Victoria or further than the Riverina to see all that.
