It is something that I have been pondering throughout the night, iamtheoracle. I feel like I echo your sentiment when considering last nights events. Am I to understand that the sentiment was more due to the ongoing assistance measures being retained or the opposite that the U.S economy is improving? I am doubting the latter and also curious about the figures, as I usually am when they come out. As others point out, how true a reflection do they give when for example the good news is the unemployment rate increased because more workers re-entered the workforce.
It would appear that the Friday night bashing of the gold price is still in vogue and it will be interesting to see how this pans out next week, with the price seemingly in a defined range.
