Iron. I agree with your post. Our pollies need to think hard about this. Or it's the innocent who suffer. I'm talking about genuine asylum seekers. Unfortunately much of these problems arise not only from religious wars but also from western foreign policy - the division and continuing exploitation of Africa, the division of the middle east, unjust wars by us, puppet presidents and so on. We do have an obligation if we are to continue with this but it does have to be managed well.
