A VERY quick estimate done based on the latest annoucement regading exports, average prices, moisture, royalties etc etc.
Annnnnd go. Tell me what i've missed. (Apart from writedowns)
N.B. I've used all of the worst figures (lowest production, highest costs) and i've used a low average of $110 for standard fines and $90 for value fines for the course of the year.
Also, the profit rises substantially with an increase in average $/t for iron ore.
Based on this, Atlas has an actual cost per tonne around $75/t, including exploration and capital outlay. I couldnt help myself, i've also included an AUD/USD chart to show how profits would change (based on revenue only).
