Guess there are four major ways to analyse the market and to invest in stocks.

1) Technical Analysis (Price and Volume patterns formation on chart and definite stop loss)
2) Fundamental Analysis (Book value, EPS, EBDITA etc)
3) Speculative Analysis (Hope, Wishes, my-mother-in-laws-says-so, emotion)
4) Casino Analysis (Buy now, buy more, keep averaging - hold forever, more-I-bet-more-I-win)

Personally I use 1 partly combined with 2 with stop loss - I don't believe in holding forever and believe market discounts everything automatically and it reflects in the chart so it more reliable than 3 and/or 4 !

Nothing wrong with 3 and/or 4 but I guess not my type - can call me doom-sayer or whatever but if I want to bet will choose sports event to do so !

Having said that 1-2 are no risk-proof and there is absolutely no guarantee that 1-2 are safe investment styles - but it helps you know what you are doing at least !

Personal preference ! :) Waiting for buy to trigger on chart - still looking good !
