Since the Stock Market appears to be (hopefully temporarily) in the doldrums, to say the least, let's concentrate on that other, more traditional, instantaneous form of gambling: Horse racing! Tomorrow the big race is the Cox Plate in Melbourne..... My tip (so, you can exclude it from your calculations....) IS: Confectioner. Earlier today it was 18/1. Tomorrow, before the race, I think you will be lucky to get 15/1...... I also like that "freak" horse from New Zealand, Xcellent, presently at about 7/1, ONLY if the track is in a reasonably dry condition....
