That sounds like it could be a very small scale thing, basically just another prospector's adit into the hillside, or a small tunnel off the end of the present workings.

A 'decline' usually refers to a production decline: a 4 or 5m diameter haulage way going down several hundred metres with 50 or 100 ton Haulpak trucks bringing up the ore. You wouldn't get much change out of 10 million bucks.

A small tunnel is not a bad way to proceed though. If it was me, I'd just drive a short way further off the old workings to hole CDP021 (it looks about 15m to CDP021 - the hole just to the east of CDP008 - on the Feb 13 map), then try to mine a rise up along the silver intersection, mapping and sampling all the way, to try and work out what is actually there. Then, if that fault-controlled pod of silver mineralisation modelled in today's block diagram really exists, you could try to drive along the base of it, heading east and west to see how far it goes.

You'd want some powerful pumps, a decent power supply and a spare generator though, as you'd be driving along a fault that would be making a great deal of water. You'd also want timbermen and a good supply of timber, as the fault would be full of broken rock and clays, and the ground probably wouldn't stand up on its own.

Although come to think of it, if that theoretical block model is correct, why don't those bodies of silver mineralisation outcrop? The gold vein in the southernmost adit would have outcropped (and been found where the adit entrance is now). The thrust plane and cross-fault that it lies on the intersection of would also outcrop, or at least subcrop. The limestone unit should also outcrop (the CDP021 silver/carbonate intersection is only 120m in from the adit entrance). And so if that model of the silver mineralisation is correct, the silver mineralisation should also outcrop, or at least subcrop, just above and to the north of the southern adit entrance.

Lets clear away the clods of earth and have a look boys..
