I think that they will keep assuming the product will succeed unless they find out otherwise. In this case that means manufacturing and distributing the product.
This does not necessarily mean they have some extra intel allowing them to proceed with manufacturing, as all stocks assume they will be successful, even the ones clearly struggling. In financial accounting this is referred to as the going concern principle.
