    Hey Shantaram, Ravgnome

    Profit Taker,

LOL, glad you're enjoying the nostalgia - I don't remember Start Blazers at all....and I thought I had most of the frivolous stuff on the tele covered!

    China Numbers

Not sure if I trust any macro-econimic numbers out of China - particularly if they involve the number "8", which for some reason they often do.

Curious as to where China ls importing the Iron Ore from? Check out the Brazillian market....that sounds wrong, check out the index for the Bovespa in Brazil, 2nd largest producer of Iron Ore after Australia. Bovespa is testing 2011 lows.

It's a bit like ringing up a company and talking to the CFO/CEO and trying to get an idea of whether or not to invest in the company. Of course they'll paint a rosy picture. I think you might be better off ringing the customers and the suppliers of that company and see their view of that organisation and their business with them.

With that perspective in mind, I'd much rather watch the ore suppliers and the finished product consumers to get an idea of what's happening in China. In this case the consumer could be considered to be China, but I'd have to look to the US as well.

As for the suppliers, well the biggest single one would probably be WA. And they don't seem to be doing so hot. I could be wrong. Please note, I'm not a fundamental type analyst.

    Cheers
