Don't forget Barry was forced into action after Tony Burke came out threatening to withdraw federal funding for CSG if Barry didn't act on residential areas.
Barry responded with that sweeping policy change and took CSG off the political table.
I dare say, after the election significant federal support will be provided to NSW / Barry to get the industry moving before gas shortages hit hip pockets.
I'm not defending Barry here, everyone knows he went too far but after the election he has every excuse in the world to take a softer approach.
