"Now the reason for the apology, is now you have to put up with these DHeads who still think this is a MNM vs ESi war,"
I agree, I think FS needs to take a step back and be a little more pragmatic. I dont read his posts any more as they are a little repetitive.
"Vert you do have some good facts no doubt about that (even if they are staight from Vert you do have some good facts no doubt about that (even if they are staight from Hardmans text book))"
If by "Hardmans text book" you means fact verifiable by third party links as apposed to speculative opinion, then thank you very much you flatter me.
"Apart from what you said about a tip still open (The waste site is a whole different kettle of fish) , That closed years ago we now have a waste transfer station,"
According to this 2009 document:
"The Maddingley Brown Coal landfill accepts some hundreds of thousands of tonnes of solid inert waste from the metropolitan area. If this site is not extended in the next two to three years then potentially – with the closure of Bulla Sunbury Road, TPI Market Road and the Sunshine Groupe Jones Road landfills within the next 10 to 12 years – the need to consider new sites could arise"
So it looks like at the time Maddingley was the prime candidate for a lot of Melbourne's waste, without a peep from the community. So where is the new site that accepts hundreds of thousands of tonnes of waste from Melbourne?
"as as for the quarry you talk about it is for sand that is supplied for most of the cement that builds a city called Melbourne, you may of heard of it,"
It might supply building materials for Melbourne but that is not export income. If anything it is a worse reason to extract, there are 1100 quarries in Victoria and only one coal deposit near adequate export infrastructure. But mining bad, have to close it down, cant be choosey.(sarcasm)
