If it's not a grubby political sex scandal hogging the headlines it's another military rape scandal. Or it's male recruits who are 'bast*rdised' by being stripped naked and then anally raped (with a broom-handle) to excite giggling soldiers.
Now it's high-ranking Officers who (like school-boys having a circle-jerk over porn pictures) secretly recording nude women having sex for their on-line pleasure. There is a systemic and sick culture sexual abuse in the Australian military. The Greeks say a fish rots from the head down.
The Customs Department had a financial scandal in 1993. The Government sacked the whole Customs top structure (for mismanagement) and appointed new Senior Officers.
The Government downgraded the Department to a Customs Service to teach it manners. The Augean military stables can be mucked out. But it will take new generals with brooms, buckets and mops who won't rest until the job is done.
