The last major incongruity about s*x relates to children. Extra-marital s*x, adultery, homos*xuality and non-procreative practices have all been normalised in western societies, but s*x with children is still unmentionable and terrible.
The label of paedophile is the worst that can be hung on a man and gives everyone else the justification to persecute the man, harass, abuse and even kill him.
Yet most child s*x offenders were themselves victims of relatives or guardians in their own childhood. It's more a condition than a crime as long as force and violence is not used. It's a ludicrous behaviour to put them in jail where violence is likely to become part of their condition.
Physical attraction by adults towards children is normal and parallels the normal sentiments adults have towards children of protectiveness and loving, but it's gone too far. The greatest sadness which is an outcome of the witch-hunting of child sex offenders is the loss - for men who love children and would rather die than harm a child - of access to children and trust with children.
