I doubt very much if we are talking about the starving people of India purchasing gold......the starving/poor of India do not purchase gold in preference to feeding their children .....

A bit misleading..me thinks.....

However the rich do purchase gold......even if just 2% of india is rich then that is a lot more rich individuals than we have in Australia....
