A small concern called a general election is looming and I for one am convinced much negativity is caused by political uncertainty and the current state of leadership and policy in this government.

Bring on September and a new focus from Canberra. Clearing out Labor and especially the Greens would be the best boost the local market could get.

Case in point, I have not purchased a single share for over 8 months now as I can't get a sense of the time is right to do so. Pity I did not sell a few and buy back in cheaper. Am holding off and looking to top up across my portfolio in the coming months.

I wonder if others are gun shy too ? I can't believe I'm alone and this of course is what is affecting the smaller cap market the most - lack of risk taking.
