"Lynas cost of production is below $12/Kg"

Hi Moo,

Cost of production for Lynas can go below $10 per kg but obviously not right away and of course not this year. Conservatively this goal of going below $10 will take 1 to 2 years to achieve this. You have to be patient but i assure you that the Chinese team at Lynas is working on it to make this a reality as its a new technology that they implementing into the plant.

Right now the plan for Lynas is have very focused goal of

1) Cutting Overhead Costs where they can.

2) Optimization of the product mix for phase 1. Phase 2 will be commission but wont be used but they need certain parts of the phase 2 plant to help with the optimization mix.

3) Focusing on increasing the yield of the phase 1 plant to 13 000 tonnes.

4) Also right now Lynas is focusing on customer acceptance and announcement of sales which obviously is very important.

So the plan involves multiple fronts plan of attack and lets see where the dice rolls.

Also as you guys are all aware I work in the engineering industry, my girlfriend works at base metal producer (ASX listed). On the resource front the industry as a whole is going through a slowdown and most resources company (mine included) are losing money, as well as her company which is copper. Both my company and hers are making Engineers redundant. So i want you and everyone here to beawarem, look around you and see the big picture. The resources sector is very very bad and going through hard times.

I post less nowadays because my focus nowadays is making sure my project is making money plus also looking at opportunities to help my company all the time.

Also at the same time i have been with my girlfriend for almost 4 years now. I finally realized i have found the right girl for me and she always stayed with me through good times and in bad.

Back in 2007 at the peak of boom when i first meet her i always took her out and have nice expensive high class meals and cherished her with plenty of presents until 2008 when the market crashed and the recession happened, i was unemployed for almost 6 months and we had to eat MacDonalds and Chinese takeaways on our dates and yet she still stood by me. Those were really humbling times for me and so yeah i will be getting married soon.

So yeah i will drop in once in a while from now on.
