The USA are still running deficits and already have trillions in treasury debt that needs to be refinanced. If creditor nations stop buying the bonds, then someone MUST step in... that someone is Helicopter Ben. They need to print trillions and trillions to get into the clear and if all that paper enters the broader money supply, the Dollar will be hyperinflated into oblivion. If history is any guide, then what the US central bankers are seeing is nothing more then the sort of initial kick all economies get when you expand the narrow money supply by 4-fold.
