You have to ask yourself, what is the catalyst for Gold/Silver to rebound? I can't see inflation driving the price any time soon. There is always the traditional times of the year when gold/silver do well, but a lot of the market is driven by technicals and things are not pretty.

So you are right, it is a little bit like being at the casino unless you have total faith that where you buy now will be much lower than the time frame you have to sell. If that is the case, you can buy and forget and just relax until you get your price.
