Jantimot,
I hope it is a pleasant surprise because I am a little pessimistic on that front. For me, I find it laughable that so many people follow different faiths. Therefore, at some point, most of us, if not all, are going to be wrong.
I was born into a very strong catholic family and I am sure my grandmother would be looking down on me with disgust that I am writing this, but for me, religion is slowly becoming a joke.
I used to worry that if i spoke out about my scepticism somehow god would punish me for it or maybe I won't go to heaven. However, the questions have to be asked that if god was so true, then why would one of his men choose to abuse young children. The catholic church has a lot to answer for as do other religions. I am sick of seeing people suffer and die in the name of religion. It has done more harm than good.
As a non practicing catholic, my religion is to be good to people. I am sure if there is a god, he will excuse me for my scepticism and will see that I am a good person at heart.
Hopefully, we are pleasantly surprised.
