I think you're heading in the wrong direction with your suppositions.

The company has been discussing for some time the expansion of Cvac into different cancer indications that also over express Mucin 1 e.g. Breast, Colon, pancreatic etc. They stated numerous times that they'd be announcing what those cancer indications would be by the end of Q2 (now). It was also the primary reason for the recent cap raising.

The announcement has nothing to do with the current trials underway for Ovarian cancer.

From previous experience working for and as a non-executive director of public listed companies, the usual process is that management prepare a detailed business case that outlines the proposed plan. This would incorporate the target market size and current status of competitor activity, as well as the forecast costs for pursuing the new trials. That report is submitted to the Board for consideration. My guess is that has now happened and the Board is due to hand down its decision shortly. They may have done so already and are simply in the process of preparing a statement to the market or it may be imminent

That would account for the trading halt, in accordance with continuous disclosure regulations.
