The cap raising was done to provide the cash necessary to fund the new Phase 2 trials and access the additional cash available from the recent Saxony Bank grant (co-funding).
Without securing the additional cash, they'd have no security in knowing how many of the "up to 3 additional new cancer indications" they could afford to commence.
