hey bowral.. here is something i learned in genesis..why did satan tempt eve???
satan asks eve a simple question "has god indeed said'you shall not eat of every tree of the garden'?"
now listen to eves response "we may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, god said 'you shall not eat it, nor shall TOUCH it, lest you die'"
can you see eves mistake????
God said nothing about "touch", it was at this point i believe that eve added to the word of god. (which he commands us not to add or subract to the word) satan at this point realised this and used it.
also, what is the remission of sin.....???thats right blood needs to be shed..
hebrews 9:22 "In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness"
so where is the blood atonement in genesis??? the blood sacrifice for adam and eves mistake???
genesis 3 21 "Also for adam and his wife the lord god made tunics of skin, and clothed them"
In order to make clothes for Adam and Eve God killed an innocent animal. That animal represented Jesus Christ. And that animals blood was shed again representing what happened to Jesus Christ. Over and over again the Scriptures points to the importance of the blood.
