    Butcherboy - You keep raising aspersions as to Jo Nova's trustworthiness, to the point of paranoia. What erroneous data has she published that could mislead us in our discussions? I haven't come across any yet, and I haven't had reason to question any of yours. I'm glad we don't disagree on the data to date, including:

    (i) This graph, showing a slightly rising trend since the 70s for major cyclones, but a solidly declining trend since the 90s for both total cyclones and major cyclones.

    (ii) CO2 emissions and emission rates which have been increasing solidly over that same period.

    So if higher CO2 supposedly gives rise to higher temperatures, which, by common sense lead to stronger weather disturbances, why aren't we seeing it in the cyclone data over the last 20+ years??
