I think you mean why the GOLD STANDARD in the U.S. and some Western Countries wont be re-introduced.
The GOLD STANDARD is alive and well in ASIA , MIDDLE EAST and many other coutries. The U.S. wont introduce it because it would crush the U.S. dollar and the U.S. FED is very wary about what GOLD will do to them.
GOLD is the only HONEST currency because it is not a promise of debt like fiat paper. Debts that can be manipulated as easy as figures on a computer screen.
