I never said I prefer the Russian political system, it's both corrupt and dangerous....

nor do I object to the US having powerful armed forces, but their focus ought to be on defence not throwing their weight around the rest of the world just because they can!

I also omitted to say in my previous post that Australia obligingly followed America into war with Vietnam and now Iraq/Afghanistan. In neither case did the 'enemy' ever present any threat to Australia whatsoever. And to think that many years later, McNamara, one of the chief architects of the war in Vietnam came out and said Vietnam was a mistake! tell that to the millions of poor Vietnamese peasants who were relentlessly bombed by the freedom loving democratic republic of America. The case for war in Iraq/Afghanistan is equally outrageous.
