The world needs all the energy it can get. Conventional crude is depleting at over 5% per annum.( That's over 4 mbpd. That is a lot of energy to replace if you do the numbers.

ps Shale oil production is about 1.7 mbpd and forecast to go to 3 mbpd by 2020. In the meantime oil depletion will have reached over 20 mbpd.

Deal with the macronomics. And then think of what is happening in the Middle East. It is truly frightening.
