Unions aren't about jobs for your mates??? You're kidding right. you can't get a job in a lot of places unless you're one of the gang. On the docks for instance. Let's all work a 35 hour week and go home if you stub your toe. It's funny that the major unions are all big burly boys, they act like little girls.
The corporate world is about being the best. A free market will deal with any employers screwing their employees. Any company that does that won't have people wanting to work for them.
It all boils down to socialism vs capitalism...
To use a footrace analogy, why should those at the front of the race have to slow down to allow others to catch up.....the backmarkers should be encouraged to catch up.
