Ddzx, you have your little green shield. We have our integrity and ability to employ people like you. If the country is run by fools, all you will have is a green shield, no money, no house, no happy wife, etc.
Think smart. Who employs you? People smarter and more courageous than you, otherwise you would be employing me. Forgive me if you are self employed and anyone else reading this. I'm not about self promotion.
Maybe you are on the lounge collecting funds from the govt. maybe you are working your ring out.
Every Australian has an opportunity in their lifetime to assist others, grow their business and employ others. If that's not in your ability, you work for a business. Thats totally fine.
I employ locally, I export goods, I sell goods locally. I service businesses in Aus. Simply, one of the small businesses i own locally that only employs 28 staff could be shut down tomorrow, based on future taxes imposed by the Labor Govt. I hold positions where we hear of new reforms proposed by Governments. So what do we do?
I'll simply export and make a healthy return. (shitload). I have a heart and employ people, but if someone makes it so difficult (such as Labor) then I will decide their future for them. these people are all paid over $75k plus on costs. These costs are approx 43 percent above the salary. Some senior people earn over $250k. I don't enjoy informing them of a redundancy package after years of service.
So, do I retain these staff? Do I ruin their lives. No!
It all starts with who makes the right or wrong decision in Government.
I'm not greedy, my staff love me, I give bonuses, send their wives flowers, I'm always giving my staff increases to their salaries, I'm counseling them, I am incentivizing them, I buy them new cars, provide their families with holidays, buy them birthday presents for their children, I do everything to make sure they love working for me, but if the govt treats me poorly, I pass this down the food chain.
