    "Back then we did not have 12000 invaders a month. Now if you do not take what is due to you invaders will take it from you. My son has worked part time for 5 years. Now he is to old for it. No employer wants to pay full wages with all the loadings (thank unions) for part time unqualified person. "

    too old for it?

    That excuse is...

    WEAK.
    AS.
    PISS.

    If your son WANTS to find work he can do so before the end of the weekend. Stop making excuses for him. Take some of that right-wing "pick yourself up by your bootstraps" attitude and stop blaming;

    refugees, unions, and whatever else makes you feel better just because the government wants some documentation before they hand over taxpayer $$$

    I needed some extra part time work on the weekends.. Went to Woolies.. asked to speak to the manager... they said "oh - what's it about?"... I told them it was about work... they said "oh, that's all done online now"... I said "thanks but I'd just like to have a quick word with the manager.. I'm a bit old fashioned and won't take up much of his time"

    20 minutes later I had a job... Yes I've had to get up at 3:30 am Saturdays and Sundays for the past 1.5 years to work the dock while all the trucks come in and unload all their stuff (produce, groceries, bakery, etc etc...)

    but hey - it's only two days and pays WAY more than Austudy.

    too old? I'm 30 and finishing a PhD full time. Went over my scholarship time and have been working a casual teaching job and the woolies job on the weekend to cover my mortgage.

    Are you telling me your son CAN'T do this while studying???

    Or are you telling me your son WON'T do this while studying??

    If your son really wants part time work tell him to look at driving the homeshop trucks for either Coles or Woolies. The work is hard but it pays well.

    BTW - one of the hardest working bastards I've ever seen drives trucks for woolies homeshop. This guy shows up and if the orders aren't ready he comes in and helps pick. NO ONE else does this. Most people would cry and curl into the fetal position if they tried to keep up with him.... oh - he's a refugee from sri lanka and speaks better english than 90% of the aussie truck drivers.

    Just go on gumtree and look for, "woolworths delivery driver" or something like that.

    P.S. - what's the bet that this gets 3 thumbs while all the pissants bitching and moaning about "invaders" or "unions" instead of finding a solution get 100 thumbs??
