re: annual report.....meerkat hey pixie, speaking as one crazy to another, aren't you just a bit disappointed that those bird flu trials which CSIRO supposedly assured IMU would be finalised this calendar year are now put back again early NEXT year?

see, what this tells me is CSIRO have failed possibly numerous times to get this bird flu thing under control - it stands to reason that they have tried since their last failed attempt reported in mid 2004.

I suspect they will not succeed at all.... if it was that easy, I suspect they'd have done it by now, because I'm sure they've been trying hard on the quiet - not that there's a shred of evidence to support that view - just that they'd be nuts if they hadn't tried. So the silence on the issue is because no one likes to report failure, not because they've done nothing? it's a possible scenario.

As for the rest of IMU's bumf, well, it's the same old, same old..... more trials...... more talks..... more empty reports.

no wonder I'm crazy.
