TobyJack, My position and perspective is, indeed, "unique". But you need to accept that that “uniqueness” (as in any other case) is to be understood in a particular context, and is not based on being a regular poster on HotCopper, or by virtue of (for example only) the posting of newspaper articles full of superficial and often banal stories which have, in reality, little or no relevance to what will impact on the subject matter of those delightful fairytales. One may enjoy the company of sycophants but sycophants are not my cup of tea, not my calling, thanks very much.............. I would rather stand alone than be surrounded by cardboard cutouts. You, on the other hand, appear to need the support of others, at least, their tacit or overt acceptance if you like, in a meaningless and superficial domain such as this little corner of cyberspace. Quite unlike you, I have been professionally engaged in the mining industry in PNG and elsewhere for a very long time. So, quite unlike you, its not unreasonable (in fact its entirely to be expected) that I would have a unique global understanding of the historical, economic, regulatory, social and legal events surrounding mining project development in PNG. Your most recent comments are clearly motivated by a desire to offend, inflame, and provoke. This conduct and attendant fall instandards, explains, in part, a growing perception that Hotcopper is no longer regarded as a serious forum for discuissing mining stocks. Indeed, its becoming the laughing stock of many serious players in the industry. This of course is not the first time you have issued such an attack. For the record, and as you well know, I did not ever assert that "everyone else is brain dead". It is your dishonest mischievous ingenuously that really sets the mark here. What I said was specific as to a stated policy "initiative" out of PNG you referred to in an article, being regurgitated (and now very) stale news. You know this to be a fact. Over the past few months many of us have watched as this particular blog page on HotCopper degenerated into a meaningless garble. There is no technical intercourse here any more. No sharing of insights or the like, just a lot of hyperbola and superficial clap trap. So, really, franfly, honestly, why would I or anyone else with real knowledge of projects like Mt Kare bother to offer any comment here. We can share these insights elsewhere.
