Why would anyone want to do business in Australia with its endless regulations, ridiculaously high wages and militant workforce and spend $100m on a duster? It doesn't make sense - Shell could easily go to Africa, drill copious amounts of gas and be able to employ workers for ten cents a day and take all the profits. As you know, these large companies allocate budgets for projects and a business case has to be made and signed-off by all internal stakeholders so to get funds to throw more money at it. Our friend Bowser007 said that his mate was "logging and testing like hell" at an external laboratory working on the Palta project. He could be talking out of his ass, but seems plausible.
