Evening all.
After a review process that wasn’t without issues, Health Minister, Tanya Plibersek today announced melanoma drug Yervoy will be included in the Australian PBS scheme.
Its mode of action is different from Cvac, but Yervoy is one of only two immunotherapies currently with FDA approval. (Provenge is the other). This will apparently reduce the cost of Yervoy treatment from $110,000 to around $100.
This is a fantastic result for melanoma sufferers and indirectly very good news for PRR imo.
